Shiraz Blending Class with Degustation Lunch at d'Arenberg Winery

Head out to McLaren Vale, just 40 minutes from Adelaide, for a full food and wine experience at d'Arenberg — one of the region's most celebrated wineries. The day combines a hands-on winemaking session with a multi-course degustation lunch, making it a standout for wine lovers and anyone looking to spend a day in South Australia's premier wine country.

Begin with a 90-minute blending session where you're guided through the winemaking process step by step. Working with the components yourself, you'll craft your own Shiraz blend and take home a bottle of the finished result — a keepsake that's genuinely your own creation.

The experience continues at d'Arry's Verandah Restaurant with an eight-course food and wine degustation, served alongside sweeping views over the vineyards and rolling hills of McLaren Vale. The full day begins at 10:30am daily and runs for approximately three hours.

• Children of all ages are welcome but they must be supervised by an adult
• Please note: children won't take part in any tastings or wine experiences, any child over the age of 2 years will be charged a $10 entrance fee to d'Arenberg Cube. This fee is incorporated in any adult ticket purchased

Arrive at d'Arenberg Wines in McLaren Vale for a 10:30am start. The winery sits roughly 40 minutes from Adelaide, so plan your travel to allow time to arrive and check in before the session begins.

Your first 90 minutes are spent in the blending class, where a guide walks you through how wine components come together and what shapes the final character of a Shiraz. You'll experiment with your own combinations, settle on a blend you're happy with, and bottle it to take home.

Afterwards, move through to d'Arry's Verandah Restaurant for the eight-course degustation, with each course paired to d'Arenberg wines and served overlooking the vineyards and hills beyond. The full experience runs for approximately three hours from start to finish.

Children under 2 years will be considered as infant and entry will be free of cost.

Children between age 3 to 12 will be considered as child and charged child rate.

Children above age 12 will be considered as an adult and charged adult rate.
