Tour Description
Discover the mystical beauty and spiritual side of Chiang Mai after dark on this immersive evening tour. By skipping the daytime heat and heavy crowds, this unique itinerary takes you up the forested slopes of Doi Suthep mountain to experience three of Northern Thailand's most captivating temples in their most serene, beautifully lit states.
Your evening begins at Wat Pa Lad, a hidden jungle sanctuary tucked away inside the national park. Unlike typical gilded temples, this secluded monastery features moss-covered stone carvings, ancient bridges, and flowing streams that create an incredibly peaceful, undisturbed atmosphere at twilight. Next, you will dive into history at Wat Umong, a 700-year-old forest temple famous for its unique network of underground brick meditation tunnels. Walking through these softly lit alcoves feels like stepping back in time.
The tour culminates at the summit of Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, Chiang Mai’s most sacred peak. Ascending the iconic Naga staircase at night allows you to witness the magnificent golden chedi glowing intensely under evening spotlights, completely free from the daytime rush. Here, you can listen to the deeply calming sounds of resident monks performing their evening chants while taking in breathtaking, panoramic views of the entire Chiang Mai city skyline sparkling below.
Children under 2 years will be considered as infant and entry will be free of cost.
Children between age 3 to 12 will be considered as child and charged child rate.
Children above age 12 will be considered as an adult and charged adult rate.
