Paris in person was chosen as the top 10 small tour operators in Europe, out of 26.000 companies - https://tourreview.com/arival-tourreview-spotlight-awards/2025-2 Discover a treasure chest of modern and contemporary art at the Centre Pompidou in Paris, and experience the city’s 3rd most important gallery after the Louvre and Orsay Museum. During the reconstruction of the building, the museum itself will be closed and our visit shall focus on the building itself, considered by most art historians and architects as an artefact more important than all of the works of art it normally houses. We shall explore the history of the construction of the Pompidou Center; how it integrates in the neighbourhood, and most importantly, how it defies it; the history of gentrification and how it shaped this museum; how the city of Paris changed in the 70s of the 20th century, and how this museum was a key aspect of it; why the locals call it the "Notre Dame of Pipes", and much more.
